Thanks for participating in our own Global Crutch Project at conference!
The completed crutches will be put in pairs, and shipped to Haiti as part of our ongoing efforts to aid those in need. What a great project to connect empathy-building and art!

To further engage students in understanding differences, and developing tolerance, check out Teaching Tolerance.
From the Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education, we see the importance of developing different capacities in our students. These capacities evolve through our students' explorations through a variety of art works, and experiences with a variety of media.
As a tool for advocacy, the Ten Lessons the Arts Teach, developed by Elliott Eisner and available on the NAEA website, further cement the opportunities afforded by art education to broaden the global understanding of every learner.
